Sports Festival

With the sports festival now truly over I just wanted to share some of my favorite photos from the festival. I didn’t attend that much of the festival in the end to be honest, but the few matches I did attend were very enjoyable. The visiting athletes were a great bunch and the whole town livened up with their presence. It was certainly an event that Ambo won’t forget anytime soon. It also kick-started the (re)generation of Ambo, with new parks popping up everywhere and the town just looking a lot tidier in general. I guess it’s safe to say that the London Olympics will have a lot to live up to compared to the sports festival here.

This was the 5th Annual Ethiopian Higher Educational Institutions Festival at Ambo University, a great success.
